Tired of hearing the same Christmas songs over and over again?
What if I told you there's a whole selection of Christmas music from all over the world?
Don't get stuck only listening to stereotypical, well-known Christmas music. Whether you're wanting a break from the usual or just want to diversify your playlist, here are 10 k-pop Christmas songs to add to your playlist this year:
1. Last Christmas by BTS
You might think this is a cover of the famous song by the same name. And during the chorus, it is. However, the raps and singing in between are perfect for a scrooge...the song is also known as A Typical Trainee's Christmas, and they're actually singing about how Christmas isn't all that fun when you're trying to become a successful k-pop group.

2. I Pray by Sungmin
This softer Christmas song has simple instrumentals that really highlight Sungmin's beautiful, clear voice. Sounding almost like a lullaby, it's about feeling innocent love and happiness like a child on Christmas.

3. JOY by NCT Dream
The opposite of the previous song, this is an upbeat, jazzy mashup of all sorts of Christmas fun. You've got a Joy to the World remix, you've got Jingle Bells, and you've got NCT Dream's own spin with rapping and Korean verses.

4. The First Snow by EXO
A few posts back I made a list of Korean confession songs where I explained that on the first snow of each year, it's common for people in South Korea to tell their crush they like them. This song isn't about that exactly...but more about seeing the first snow falling and wishing someone you used to have was there again with you during the Christmas season.

5. Merry & Happy by TWICE
Instead of wishing for someone to be with you like the previous song, this one's for when you happily have someone for the holidays. Just like the title says...it's merry, happy, and I would also add cute!

6. Fa La La by Paul Kim, David So, and Z.Woods
Probably the most different sounding Christmas song on this list. With a mix of R&B and 90's boy band, they add impressive harmony for a song about the togetherness of Christmas.

7. Christmas Kiss Time by Park Jung Min
Mistletoe anyone? This isn't necessarily a song about kissing under the mistletoe, but just the fun of cute love feelings around Christmas time. I don't know about you, but this song gives me show tunes vibes...I could totally imagine it being in a musical.

8. My Grown Up Christmas List by Ailee
As we get older, Christmas becomes less about physical things and more about helping others. Ailee sings about her wishes for the world in this slow, somewhat jazzy song in English.

9. What I Want for Christmas by EXO
Yes, EXO gets two spots on this list. They have a lot of winter/Christmas-y songs, so deal with it! If you like the idea of Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You but are sick of the song itself, this one's for you. Same concept, but a whole different song.

10. It's Christmas by FNC Artists
It's common in South Korea for all of the artists under the same record label to do a Christmas song all together. This features artists from FNC Entertainment for a giant, fun, happy Christmas celebration.
